Follow without your heart

Hear “follow me” and drag your feet
Chase Him rather than follow Him

Follow me …

Leave our old life behind

“As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.” –Matthew 9:9

Leads to difficult decisions

“To another he said, “Follow me…” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” And Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead…”” –Luke 9:59-60

Strive to be like Him

“And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”” —John 8:29

Actively listen to His voice

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” — John 10:27

To follow Jesus is to submit to His plan rather than Jesus giving in to ours.
